ABOUT THE MENU

Tasting Menu

We offer a choice of a five (5) or seven (7) course, seasonally-inspired tasting menu. The dishes chosen will be at our discretion and may change at short-notice. We make sure that the price of the menu is reflected in the dishes we've chosen for you. The price is fixed, and the menu is to be taken by the whole table.
 

Dietary Menus

We have the ability to cater to vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, pescatarian and halal diets and do so to a high-level.
 

Menu Substitutions

Changes or substitutions are generally not allowed, although this is subject to the Chef's discretion. Changes will be made in the case of a dietary requirement or an allergy if we have been notified in advance.
 

Wine Pairings

We offer a wine-pairing menu for each tasting menu, which will vary depending on the menu at the time. Again, no changes allowed here.

BOOKING INFORMATION

When are Bookings Taken?

We take reservations for lunch and dinner up to two months in advance. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Our Cancellation Policy.
As part of your booking you will be required to provide some card details in the case of cancellation within 24 hours of your booking. In the event that a booking is not honoured in whole (you are welcome to change the number of guests free of charge) and is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, a cancellation fee of £15 per person will be charged to the card provided.

 

How can I pay?

We currently only accept credit cards, debit cards, mobile, online and contactless payments. We, unfortunately, do not accept cash.


Group Bookings - 7 or More.
To make a booking for a group of 7 or more, please contact our team on manager@smokeandsalt.com. Be sure to have a credit or debit card to hand as we will request card details (safely of course) in case of cancellation. If you cancel your booking is cancelled within 48 hours, we will take a £15 charge on the card.

Booking Times.
Please arrive promptly for your booking. Note that we will hold tables for 15 minutes only. If you anticipate a change to your arrival time or would like to discuss your booking please contact us on +447421327556 otherwise we may re-allocate your table.
 
Time Allowance.
Depending on the size of your group you will have a set amount of time for reservation as follows:

- Up to 3 guests : 2h15m
- 4-6 guests : 2h30m
- More than 6 guests :3h
 
Walk-In Policy.
Yes, we make sure to keep some seats back for walk-in guests only. These are available on a first-come first-serve basis, however, so we do recommend that you pre-book your table online to avoid disappointment.

Booking via social media.
We currently don’t take bookings via social media but do follow @SmokeandSaltLDN for some great foodie chat and a whole lot of pictures of what we're up to.
 
Gift-Cards at Smoke & Salt.
Yes, we do: https://www.smokeandsalt.com/giftcards. Please note that gift cards cannot be redeemed for one-off menus or special events such as our Christmas or Valentine's Day menu. They can be redeemed all year round otherwise.

Allergy policy.
We take allergies seriously here at Smoke & Salt. Please inform us, when booking, of any allergies or dietary requirements. If we are unaware of allergies within the group we may not be able to offer them a meal.

I don't like the style of service or the music.
While we would like to hope that we've created our own genre of restaurant we realise that, in some cases, expectation may not meet reality. We describe ourselves as casual fine-dining....all the consideration of fine dining melded with the fun and energetic environment of a more casual space. Our music is varied, and we want the experience to be enjoyable whether you choose to dress up or dress down. We will try to accommodate any reasonable requests where possible, however this may not always be the case.

There's been an issue.
Please let us know. All feedback is appreciated and will be received judgement-free. We know that there are always things to be improved upon, and have regular team meetings to discuss what we may have done to have affected your experience. Please do open up... we'd much rather hear about an issue directly and immediately. Google and TripAdvisor are wonderful resources, although they preclude us from being able to offer to make amends at the time.

I've got a dog, cat or a pet dinosaur.
Well-behaved pets are welcome to join you for dinner. If there are other guests who would prefer not to be near pets, this will be taken into consideration at the time of seating.
